Seeking Knowledge: The obligation of the Muslims - Yasser Fazaga

Islam encourages us to seek knowledge. The Prophet (peace be upon him), the pursuit of knowledge is a duty for every Muslim, and explained that the superior knowledge of the person who is venerated as the superiority of the moon has on any other celestial body. He said the scholars are the heirs of the prophets and the prophets behind dinars and dirhams (ie money), you would rather have their inheritance was knowledge, so he who has gained a large share.The Prophet (peace be upon him) said that seeking knowledge is one way to heaven. He (pbuh) said: "If one way in the pursuit of knowledge, Allah (SWT) is a path to Paradise easy for him." Branches of knowledge vary in status, the highest of which is knowledge of the shari'a, and the knowledge of medicine and other fields of knowledge. Best of all branches of knowledge areSciences of the shari'a with which man comes to his Lord, and know his prophets and religion.
